Digestive enzymes in the digestive tract are responsible for the proper digestion of sugars, proteins, and fats and for breaking them down into less complex forms that are absorbable by the body. In humans, digestive enzymes are produced mainly in the pancreas and small intestine.
What enzymes does the Yango Digestive Enzymes dietary supplement contain?
- Amylase - produced by the pancreas and salivary glands. It breaks down starch and other complex sugars.
- Pancreatic lipase - belongs to the group of enzymes involved in the breakdown of fats produced by the digestive system.
- Cellulase - an enzyme that breaks down the bonds in cellulose, a plant polysaccharide. It is produced by fungi, bacteria, and some parasitic plants.
- Lactase - an enzyme that breaks down lactose, a disaccharide found in milk. Symptoms of enzyme deficiency include abdominal pain and bloating caused by the digestion of excess undigested lactose in the digestive tract.
- Proteases - a large group of enzymes with a wide range of uses, not just digestive - are responsible for breaking down peptide bonds, i.e., those found in proteins. They regulate many physiological processes by activating, synthesizing, or digesting proteins contained in food.
Recommended daily intake:
Recommended dosage: 1 capsule daily.
Directions: Swallow the capsule with plenty of water in the morning, during a meal.
