What makes Urgo Burn and Superficial Wound Patches unique?
Urgo Burn and Superficial Wound Patches are registered medical devices, measuring 7 x 10 cm. The patches feature lipid-colloid technology (TLC). The TLC matrix is a patented technology from Laboratoires Urgo designed for advanced wound healing. The TLC matrix is a gelling healing matrix combining hydrocolloid and fat particles.
Application:
- For the treatment of burns caused by household chores, first and second degree, and superficial wounds.
Instructions for use:
- For all burns: Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic. Rinse with water or URGO saline solution.
- Carefully dry the wound with a sterile gauze pad. In the case of a burn, never use antiseptics containing eosin.
- Remove the protective layer from the plaster. Apply to the area to be treated – if possible, do not disturb the blister, as this protects against infection. If the blister is ruptured, disinfect the area. Do not remove dead skin unless it falls off on its own.
- The dressing should usually be worn for 5 to 6 days, with the first dressing changed after 24 hours and subsequent dressings every 48 hours.

- The plasters can be easily removed from the skin. They do not stick to the wound.
- They have a protective layer made of polyester and a lipid-colloid mesh combined with hydrocolloid elements and petrolatum.
Warnings:
- Do not use on deep second-degree burns, third-degree burns or facial burns. In the above cases, prior consultation with a doctor is necessary.
- In case of extensive burns, it is recommended that the compress extends beyond the wound to absorb exudate.
- If there is no improvement after 6 days of use, consult a doctor.
- In case of burns in children, consult a pharmacist.
- If symptoms of infection occur (redness appearing on healthy skin, pain), consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- The dressing or gauze must be used immediately after opening.
- Store away from sources of heat, light and moisture.
- Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
