What makes Unigel Apotex stand out?
Unigel Apotex is a medical device used to treat wounds of various origins.
Application:
- acute wounds (e.g. cuts);
- abrasions;
- first-degree burns;
- minor cuts incurred at home or during sports activities;
- chronic wounds, such as ulcers caused by venous or arterial circulatory insufficiency;
- pressure sores, diabetic foot;
- postoperative skin damage and others.
How to use:
- clean and dry the wound;
- apply a small amount of gel to the wound surface (do not rub in). The gel will absorb exudate and other fluids from the wound;
- cover the wound with a sterile, non-adherent gauze pad, which should be secured with a bandage or plaster. For small wounds, simply apply the gel and cover it with a plaster, leaving a margin of approximately 1 cm around the wound;
- after application, the gel swells and, thanks to its unique structure, does not stick to the wound, so it can be painlessly removed by gently wiping;
- the dressing should be changed every 24-48 hours;
- in inflammatory conditions, more frequent dressing changes are recommended.
Properties:
Clinical studies have confirmed that UniGel Apotex:
- binds free oxygen radicals generated during the inflammatory process;
- optimizes the pH value in the wound, supporting the healing process;
- thanks to its structure, it prevents the gel particles from penetrating the wound tissue, which could result in possible irritation (it does not dry out on the wound);
- moisturizes the wound;
- prevents the wound from drying out and the formation of dry scabs;
- absorbs wound exudate, thus cleansing the wound;
- reduces wound pain;
- supports the wound healing process;
- if used quickly, prevents scar formation and possibly improves its appearance.
Warnings:
- do not use in case of allergy to the ingredients of the preparation;
- store out of the reach and sight of small children at room temperature;
- pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using the product.
