The zeaxanthin contained in OmniXan is a patented carotenoid obtained from bell peppers. Zeaxanthin is found in the lens and retina of the eye, particularly in the macula, which is responsible for visual acuity. It is concentrated primarily in the eyes and helps destroy free radicals generated by exposure to sunlight and the oxidative damage they initiate. Thanks to its action, it alleviates the symptoms of macular degeneration, a disease leading to deterioration of vision and often complete loss of vision.
Note: the product has a synergistic effect with lutein.
