What makes Folate (Metafolin®) Tablets different?
Solgar Folate is a dietary supplement containing folate in the form of calcium L-methylfolate, which is known as Metafolin®.
Metafolin® is a form of folate that is equivalent to naturally occurring folate. L-methylfolate (L-5-MTHF) is a naturally occurring form of folate in food, and Metafolin® is simply its calcium salt. Metafolin® is exceptionally well absorbed compared to folic acid, which is often used in dietary supplements. It is also the recommended form of folate for people who have MTHFR polymorphism, which is a genetic change that hinders the proper metabolism of folic acid from diet or supplements.
Ingredient properties:
- folates contained in Solgar tablets are recommended for women planning or currently pregnant (folates contribute to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy);
- the product can be used by women who have the MTHFR gene mutation (folates help in proper blood production);
- the Solgar Folian dietary supplement will help ensure proper homocysteine metabolism (folates help maintain proper metabolism).
Recommended daily intake:
- 1 tablet daily, preferably after a meal;
- take the tablet with a glass of water;
- do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Storage conditions:
- The dietary supplement should be stored out of the reach of small children.
- the preparation should be stored at a temperature below 25°C.

Warnings:
