Polpharma 0.9% NaCl medical device is a sterile sodium chloride solution intended for external use in infants, children, and adults to moisturize even very sensitive areas such as the eyes and nasal mucosa, cleanse the ears, and mechanically remove foreign bodies from the eyes and wounds. The product can also be used for inhalation in aerosol therapy. When used in this way, the Polpharma 0.9% NaCl medical device restores moisture to the membranes of the upper respiratory tract affected by dryness due to climate, respiratory infections, or travel. It has a beneficial effect in various clinical conditions by moisturizing the respiratory tract.
Application and method of use:
Moisturizing and rinsing the eyes - use in:
- adults and children as a moisturizer after long hours of staring at a computer screen, swimming in a pool or polluted body of water, prolonged exposure to bright light, staying in smoky or dusty places, in case of dry eyes;
- in infants for daily eye care;
- in the event of a foreign body entering the eye.
How to use:
Tilt your head back and inject the liquid, being careful not to touch the surface of the eye with the tip of the container. Wipe off any excess solution with sterile gauze. After applying the solution, do not apply any other products to the eye for 15 minutes.
Do not drive or operate machinery immediately after applying the solution.
Moisturizing and cleansing the nose - use in adults and children to moisturize and cleanse the nose - in the case of a runny nose or when staying in smoky or dusty places.
How to use: Tilt your head and inject the solution into each nostril by gently pressing the container. Wipe off any excess solution. Do not blow your nose immediately after applying the solution.
Ear cleansing - use to rinse out dissolved earwax deposits and to rinse the external auditory canal.
How to use: Instill the solution into the external auditory canal and wipe off any excess solution. In the case of ear infection, ear pain, or other ear-related complaints, or in people who suffer from dizziness or have previously experienced ear or eardrum problems, the solution should only be used after consulting a doctor.
People wearing hearing aids can use the medical device after removing the aid.
Wound cleansing - use for cleansing wounds (e.g., after cuts, injuries, abrasions, and minor surgical procedures) to remove contamination, wound exudate, and to remove dressing residue when changing the dressing.
Instructions for use: Use the entire container, preferably 10 ml. Be careful not to touch the wound with the container tip. After washing, wipe excess solution only from the edges of the wound with sterile gauze. Apply a dressing to the prepared wound.
Aerosol inhalation
Instructions for use: In the case of aerosol inhalation, follow the instructions included with the inhalation device.
Properties:
- The medical device can be used in newborns, infants, children and adults.
- The action of physiological saline is to moisturize the respiratory tract and cleanse the nasal and eye mucosa.
Warnings:
- There are no reports of adverse reactions after using physiological sodium chloride solution.
- If you experience any allergic reactions or other adverse reactions, inform your doctor or pharmacist.
- Store below 25°C.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Do not use the Polpharma medical device. 0.9% NaCl after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
