Now Foods L-Carnosine is a dietary supplement in vegan capsules containing L-carnosine. L-carnosine (β-alanyl-L-histidine) is a dipeptide consisting of alanine and histidine. It naturally occurs in high concentrations in muscle and nerve tissue, but its levels decline with age. L-carnosine has a number of health-promoting properties. The most important include antioxidant properties and the neutralization of free radicals, an excess of which contributes to the development of many diseases. It affects blood pressure, helping to regulate excessively high blood pressure. Carnosine also reduces glucose levels and has a positive effect on the nervous system.
Recommended daily intake:
