Novama Multicheck Pro+ Cholesterol Test Strips 10 pcs.
Test strips for measuring total cholesterol levels are compatible with NOVAMA MultiCheck series devices.
The strips are used for:
- measurement of total cholesterol levels in capillary blood from the finger, palm or forearm performed by healthcare professionals or by the patient themselves;
- measurement of total cholesterol levels in venous or arterial blood performed exclusively by healthcare professionals.
The strips are intended for in vitro diagnostics only.
How to perform a test using Novama Multicheck Pro+ Cholesterol test strips
- Read the instructions for use of the Novama MultiCheck device and perform the coding procedure.
- Remove the strip from the vial and insert it into the device.
- Check whether The code is correct.
- Use the lancing device to prick your finger and create a capillary blood sample.
- Touch the blood sample with the strip and make sure the blood fills the inlet sufficiently.
- The result will appear on the monitor.
- Dispose of the used strip and lancet in a waste container.
Interpreting the test results.
- Measuring range: 100-400 mg/dL (2.59-10.35 mmol/L)
- Normal range for healthy adults (the range is for reference only): ≤200 mg/dL (5.17 mmol/L)
- If the screen displays "Lo", your total cholesterol level may be below 100 mg/dL (2.59 mmol/L).
- If the screen displays "Hi", your total cholesterol level may be above 400 mg/dl (10.35 mmol/l)
- If your test result is unusually low, high, or inconsistent with how you feel, repeat the test with a new strip, making sure you have followed the instructions carefully.
Chemical Composition
- Total Cholesterol Esterase: 2.5 units
- Total Cholesterol Oxidase: 2.5 units
- Peroxidase: ≤1 unit
- Other ingredients (buffer, mediator, surfactant, stabilizer, etc.): ≤0.02 mg
Accuracy
The total cholesterol accuracy test was performed with fingerstick capillary blood. The result was compared with calibrators of reference instruments that were traceable to the NIST SRM 913 standard.
Storage and use instructions
- The strips should be stored at 4-30°C and used within 3 months of first opening.
- Handle the strips with clean and dry hands.
- Close the vial immediately after use.
- The strip should be used immediately after removing from the package.
- Do not use expired strips.
- The strips should not be exposed to sunlight, heat or moisture.
- The strips should not be stored in the refrigerator.
- The strips should not be bent, cut or folded.
