- turmeric has a protective effect on the liver, similar to milk thistle and artichoke. It is known for its choleretic effect, meaning it supports the production of bile in the liver and stimulates its secretion by the gallbladder. This supports fat digestion and weight control during weight loss;

Recommended daily intake:
