The main purpose of this brightening face mask is to brighten and even out skin tone, reduce recent post-inflammatory discoloration, complement melasma-reducing treatments, and minimize the chance of discoloration recurring. Tranexamic acid is an ingredient derived from medicine, used in cosmetics to inhibit melanin synthesis and its accumulation in skin cells. The brightening face mask also contains 3% MelavoidTM, an extract from the root of Boerhaavia diffusa standardized to boeravinones. Boeravinones are valuable ingredients that affect the melanin synthesis pathway not only during and after the process, but also hinder its initiation. The brightening effect is enhanced by antioxidant, moisturizing, and soothing white mulberry extract.
In addition to evening out skin tone, the mask moisturizes the skin, smooths its texture, and reduces redness.
Using the mask to combat discoloration
To reduce persistent post-inflammatory discoloration and lentigines, it is necessary to include exfoliating cosmetics and/or treatments. For best results, it is worth alternating the mask with cosmetics containing retinoids, azelaic acid, and/or niacinamide.
The brightening facial mask is an effective yet gentle cosmetic that can be used alone or combined with keratolytic (exfoliating) cosmetics. For best results, we recommend using it once a day for 8 weeks. The mask is packed in a handy 75 ml tube.
