What is the LabHome LIVER-Screen Liver Diagnostic Test and how is it used?

Application:
LabHome LIVER-Screen Liver Diagnostic Test is a test that detects significantly elevated levels of ALT and/or AST transaminases (liver function tests) in the blood, which allows for the detection of liver damage.
Indications:
Liver diseases can be asymptomatic in up to 40% of cases. Liver damage may be associated with a viral infection, medication, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, or autoimmune disease. One million people die from cirrhosis worldwide each year due to alcohol abuse.
Who is the test for?
• people with symptoms of liver disease (chronic fatigue, jaundice, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, dark urine, light-colored stools, abdominal swelling, itching)
• people with diabetes or hypertension
• people taking medications, doping agents, or consuming alcohol
• people exposed to contact with blood and viral infections
How to use:
- The test is performed on blood.
- To do this, obtain a drop of blood from your fingertip (automatic lancing device included), then apply the blood with the diluent to the sample window.
- Wait 10 minutes and read the result.
