Product Description
LabHome Ferri-Check Iron Deficiency Test
LabHome diagnostic tests enable early diagnosis or exclusion of many common diseases in the shortest possible time, ensuring the comfort of testing – independently and without leaving home. Additionally, LabHome tests allow for the assessment of the physiological condition of organs, hormone diagnosis, and detection of fertility problems.
The FERRI-Check test is used to assess ferritin deficiency (ferritin is a protein that stores iron in cells). This allows for the diagnosis of iron deficiency (anemia). The rapid immunodiagnostic test is performed on a whole blood sample collected by finger prick. The FERRI-Check test has been used by professionals for over 10 years. The test is accurate, with an overall agreement of 98% compared to the reference method.
Use:
Anemia caused by iron deficiency is common in children and women of all ages - mainly in menstruating women (at least 20% suffer from iron deficiency). The main symptoms, such as paleness, fatigue, headaches, faster heartbeat, or shortness of breath during exercise, appear gradually and may go unnoticed. Iron deficiency, which can occur during pregnancy, growth, insufficient iron intake, insufficient absorption, or blood loss (menstruation, abnormal bleeding, ulcers... etc.), has a huge impact on health. A positive test result means that the ferritin concentration in the blood is below normal and iron deficiency is possible.
Use:
The test is performed on a blood sample. To do this, obtain a drop of blood from your fingertip (automatic lancing device included), then apply the blood with diluent to the sample window. Wait 10 minutes and read the result. Check whether an urgent consultation with a doctor is necessary.
Packaging:
Package contents: 1 sealed aluminum bag containing: 1 test strip, 1 plastic pipette, 1 sachet with a desiccant; 1 dropper bottle containing 1 ml of diluent; 1 sterile lancet (lancing device) for blood collection.
Important instructions:
The FERRI-Check test is not intended for patients suffering from hemochromatosis. The test can be performed at any time of day. The test should remain in the tightly closed package until use.
