Lime is a unique plant with many valuable properties. This species occurs mainly in the temperate climate of the Northern Hemisphere – it is very common in our country. A characteristic feature of this species is its longevity – it can live up to 1,000 years. In terms of appearance, trees of this species are characterized by great height (up to 40 meters) and spreading branches. There are about 30 species of linden, two of which grow wild in Poland – the small-leaved linden and the large-leaved linden. This tree is considered an ornamental plant, so it can often be found in parks and squares, especially along avenues.
How to use:
Lime blossoms are most often used as an infusion. You need a teaspoon of dried blossoms (a little more for the whole blossom), then pour boiling water over them and leave covered for 5-10 minutes. After that time, strain and drink – up to three times a day during a cold.
