Geek & Gorgeous Smooth Out - Acid Facial Toner
This is our strongest exfoliating fluid, containing AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) at a concentration of up to 12%. It combines glycolic acid (10%) with lactic acid (2%), so in addition to being highly effective in stimulating the skin, it also has a moisturizing effect. This is a peeling product designed for skin in need of revitalization, dull skin, or with uneven skin tone.
Glycolic acid (an AHA) has a small molecule, allowing it to penetrate deeper. It stimulates the skin, evens out its texture, and brightens discolorations. Lactic acid (AHA) has a moisturizing effect and by improving skin firmness, reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Prickly pear extract has a soothing and anti-wrinkle effect, and galactoarabinan is a natural polysaccharide that limits TEWL (transepidermal water loss). The addition of panthenol and moisturizing agents reduces the risk of irritation and dryness. However, if you have sensitive skin, we recommend more gentle products from our range: Calm Down (4% acids) or Cheer Up (6% acids).
How to use:
Apply to dry skin using a cotton pad, or pat with your hands into cleansed skin of the face, neck, and décolleté. Apply it in place of your toner (before your cream), depending on your skin's reaction (from one to seven times a week).
You may experience a slight tingling sensation after application. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Wait for your skin to regenerate and reduce the number of applications. Do not use simultaneously with other products containing acids.
