Polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) are very delicate substances with large molecules, so they work mainly on the surface of the epidermis. Due to the low risk of irritation, they are recommended for people with sensitive skin. Calm Down contains gluconolactone and lactobionic acid. The addition of salicylic acid (BHA) broadens the product's spectrum of action with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity, making it suitable for acne-prone skin.
