Femaltiker Plus Chocolate Flavor 12 Sachets

The Femaltiker® plus chocolate flavored dietary supplement supports a woman's body during lactation, especially in the initial stage. This product is intended for breastfeeding women, whose ingredients help induce or maintain lactation1, including during the stress associated with inducing lactation2. It is also used as a dietary supplement to maintain the quality of breast milk3. Femaltiker® plus is a barley malt-based product. Its formula has been additionally enriched with choline and nutrients such as folates (folic acid and calcium L-methylfolate - FolActiv®) and vitamins B6 and B12, which nourish a woman's body. These ingredients pass into breast milk, affecting its quality and nutritional value for the baby3. What does femaltiker® plus contain – ingredient properties:

• Short-malted barley malt – the barley malt contained in femaltiker® plus is briefly malted to contain as many nutrients as possible. The malting process increases the bioavailability of the proteins and carbohydrates contained in the barley malt. Short-malting reduces the degradation of the beta-glucan contained in the barley. Only this special formula and its appropriate technological preparation allow for obtaining barley malt with a more digestible and available, and therefore richer, nutritional composition. Barley malt is known for its milk-promoting properties; its use as a lactation support is considered good lactation practice by experts.1 femaltiker® was mentioned in the Expert Group's Position on Nutritional Recommendations for Lactating Women (2023) as a preparation stimulating lactation, the effectiveness of which was confirmed by the results of a clinical study.5 Folic acid - FolActiv® - an adequate supply of folates in the diet, including during lactation, contributes to normal blood production. Research shows that 90% of women aged 20-74 do not consume the recommended amount of folic acid.6 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is the main form of folate storage in the human body, and therefore the predominant form of folate in breast milk.
• Choline - supports the development of the child's nervous system.7 It also has the potential to modify the nutritional value of milk and influence its quantity. 8 Choline preferentially passes into breast milk, and its dietary intake is reflected in the amount of this nutrient in milk. The recommended daily intake of choline for breastfeeding mothers is 550 mg per day, 9 and research indicates that the average dietary intake of choline in women is lower than recommended. 6 Vitamin B6 is an important component in the diet of breastfeeding women, and studies of this nutrient's intake in women indicate that up to 30% of them may not consume adequate amounts of it, 6 which also affects the concentration of this vitamin in breast milk. Increasing dietary intake of vitamin B6 results in an increase in its concentration in milk.
• Vitamin B12 - is a component that influences the child's development process, and as a source of methyl residues (together with choline, vitamin B6 and folates) is important for DNA reading10. Research indicates that 50% of women may not consume adequate amounts of it in their diet6. Its concentration in breast milk is highest in colostrum, and then decreases during the first few months of lactation11.
• Vitamins B6, B12, folic acid and choline are components with epigenetic potential - they pass into mother's milk and thus shape the child's development and health in the long term.
• Lemon balm extract - has a relaxing effect in states of irritation and emotional tension.2

Recommended daily intake:

• Take 1-2 sachets daily with a meal. Your doctor or lactation specialist may recommend a different way of using the product.
• It is recommended to consume femaltiker® plus 30 minutes to 1 hour before planned feeding/expressing.
• Wash your hands before preparing the solution. Use clean utensils. Pour the powder from the sachet into a glass or cup, dissolve in approximately 150 ml of milk (cold or warm) and mix thoroughly. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved.
• The method of use of the product is adapted to the individual nutritional requirements of the breastfeeding woman: in case of allergy or intolerance to cow's milk, other types of plant-based drinks can be used, such as barley, soy, rice, oat, spelt, or possibly water. The product can also be mixed with natural or flavored yogurt.
• A supplement to be consumed with various types of dishes or meals.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

How to use Femaltiker Plus?

• The product can be taken throughout breastfeeding, i.e., at the beginning to initiate lactation, and during lactation to stimulate milk production and regulate its amount.
• It is recommended to start using the product from the second day after delivery if there is no milk supply. The minimum duration of use is 12 days, however, there are no contraindications to longer use or occasional use in the event of so-called lactation crises. Discontinuation of the preparation depends on obtaining the amount of milk that ensures the continuation of exclusive breastfeeding.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Storage conditions:

• The dietary supplement should be stored out of the reach of small children.
• The preparation should be stored at a temperature below 25°C.
• Protected from light and moisture.

Warnings and precautions:

• The dietary supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
• Do not take the dietary supplement if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
• The preparation is intended for adults.
• The product contains cereals that are a source of gluten (from barley malt).
