GLUTEN INTOLERANCE + CELIAC DISEASE TEST
The gluten intolerance + celiac disease test is a home, cassette immunochromatographic test designed to detect IgA antibodies in blood and serum directed against human tissue transglutaminase (tTG), which is the main autoantigen recognized by antibodies directed against smooth muscle endomysium and antibodies directed against gliadins (DGP). Test results are interpreted based on the presence of appropriate lines after just 15 minutes.
HOW DOES THE GLUTEN INTOLERANCE + CELIAC DISEASE TEST WORK?
During the test, IgA antibodies (anti-tTG or anti-gliadin) present in the blood bind to colored latex particles against IgA antibodies. The resulting conjugates, composed of latex particles bound to anti-IgA and IgA antibodies, migrate along the membrane, according to capillary forces, to the appropriate test fields (fields T1m and T2, respectively) where recombinant tTG and deaminated gliadin peptides are located. These particles capture latex conjugates created based on IgA antibodies present in the sample, directed against tTG and/or against gliadin, as a result of which the appropriate red lines appear.
