Product Description
Dog Cat ALLERGY TEST
The home Dog Cat ALLERGY TEST is a rapid method for the qualitative detection of IgE antibodies (sIgE) in the blood, specific to dog and cat dander allergens. After taking into account clinical symptoms, the test can be used to assess whether the allergy symptoms are caused by type 1 hypersensitivity.
The test result obtained in the test is visually interpreted based on the color change in the test fields of the cassette, which contain immobilized streptavidin. The test cassette membrane contains antibodies conjugated with colloidal gold directed against the test person's IgE antibodies. Additionally, biotinylated cat and dog allergens are adsorbed in the S wells of the test cassette.
INDICATIONS FOR THE DOG/Cat ALLERGY TEST:
The Dog/Cat ALLERGY TEST is intended for people with suspected allergies (spots or skin redness, repeated watery eyes and sneezing), especially if atopy affects close family members. More than 20% of patients with diagnosed allergy experience clinical symptoms; these people are exposed to frequent asthma attacks or other complications.
Allergy is a disease occurring in 20-25% of cases in the form of immediate hypersensitivity with symptoms such as rhinitis, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, gastrointestinal complaints, shortness of breath, and less frequently, anaphylactic shock.
