D-Vitum 600 IU Vitamin D DHA is a preparation that provides docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and vitamin D3. DHA is a long-chain polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid. DHA is found in breast milk, but its amount may vary depending on the foods she consumes. If the mother does not consume at least 200 mg of DHA daily from her diet, DHA supplementation is also recommended for breastfed infants. After breastfeeding, DHA supplementation of at least 100 mg of DHA per day is recommended for children up to 2 years of age.
Consuming docosahexaenoic acid supports the proper development of vision in infants up to 12 months of age.
