What does Chopin OP.9 eau de parfum for men smell like?
OP.9 is inspired by a collection of three nocturnes Composed by Fryderyk Chopin in 1830-1831, dedicated to the French pianist, composer, and teacher Marie Pleyel. A moody and intimate tone characterize the poetics of nocturnes, of which Chopin was a true master. OP.9 is an incredibly rich and complex composition, opening with a unique combination of fresh, bitter bergamot, sweet, purple plum, and the tart, summery aroma of rhubarb. These seemingly contrasting ingredients create a unique first impression that sends the intrigued nose wandering to the wrist. As the scent develops, spicy, green carnation and herbal cistus emerge, bringing an element of wildness and naturalness to the perfume. The intense, rich aroma of oud adds luxurious depth and resinous, dense warmth. The base is based on a combination of a woody, green accent of cedar, slightly sweet, aromatic tobacco and balsamic, forest labdanum, which give the composition sensuality, mystery and character.
