Cholesol Liquid 100 g
Cholesol is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use in specific indications resulting exclusively from its long-term use.
Indications
Cholesol is used to treat symptoms of indigestion as a choleretic agent.
Dosage
Adults: up to 3 times a day, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of the drug in ½ glass of water.
Children and adolescents Adolescents from 14 to 18 years: up to 3 times a day, ½ teaspoon of the drug in ½ glass of water.
Do not administer this medicine to children and adolescents under 14 years of age due to the ethanol content.
Contraindications
Cholesol should not be used if the patient has:
- Hypersensitivity to the active substances of the medicine, including chamomile flowers and plants of the Asteraceae family (formerly Compositae).
- Obstruction of the bile ducts.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Cholesol can cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them. No side effects have been reported with Cholesol so far.
Interactions
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or are planning to take any other medicines. No studies on the interaction of Cholesol with other medicines have been performed.
Pregnancy
Due to insufficient safety data and the high concentration of ethanol, Cholesol should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The effect of this medicine on fertility is unknown. If you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Driving
A teaspoon of this medicine (5 ml) contains approximately 2.5 g of ethanol. Using this medicine may slightly or moderately impair your ability to drive, operate machinery, and overall psychomotor performance. The alcohol contained in this product may be detected by a device that analyzes exhaled air (a breathalyzer).
