Butiner 500 is a food for special medical purposes that contains 500 mg of sodium butyrate in each tablet, equivalent to 400 mg of butyric acid. Butyric acid is one of the short-chain fatty acids produced in the large intestine. It is an essential nutrient for the cells of the colonic epithelium, helping to maintain their health. Additionally, butyric acid influences the development of healthy bacterial flora in the intestine. Thanks to the special tablet coating, butyric acid is protected from the action of gastric juice and is not absorbed in the small intestine. Thanks to the unique form of enteric-coated, controlled-release tablets, the entire amount of sodium butyrate (500 mg) reaches the large intestine.
