Furthermore, certain external factors, such as hard water, inappropriate cleansing products, changing weather, temperature fluctuations, and pollution, can aggravate skin conditions and cause severe itching. Scratching itself can pose a risk of infection. The more often and intensely we scratch, the more likely we are to expose the skin to microorganisms. This creates a vicious cycle of relapses. Atoderm SOS spray provides a global response to frequent or temporary itching. Bioderma's innovation leverages a new scientific discovery: two new biological factors have been identified as causing itching in skin prone to atopy or psoriasis. This innovative approach also addresses other biological causes of itching. The new SKIN RELIEF™ technology (containing extracts of Ambora and green tea), combined with a dermatological active ingredient known for its soothing properties (enoxolone), blocks the biological process responsible for itching from the very first moment after application and acts directly on each of the biological pathways leading to itching. The SKIN BARRIER THERAPY™ patent protects the skin from bacteria that cause itching. Vitamin PP and squalene provide lipids essential for strengthening the skin barrier. The result: skin is long-lastingly moisturized, immediately soothed, and the urge to scratch is reduced. It works for up to 6 hours, reducing itching in 60 seconds.
