Acifungin Forte Liquid
Acifungin Forte Liquid is a medical device with antifungal and weak antibacterial properties, for local use only, on the nail folds and nails. Additionally, it has an astringent and keratolytic (exfoliating) effect.
Because Acifungin forte contains, among others, substances of natural origin, a fine precipitate may form.
Application:
Fungal diseases of the nail folds and nails.
How to use:
- shake the bottle before use;
- before applying Acifungin forte, cover the treated area with a layer of protective ointment or cream, e.g. zinc paste. This is to prevent the medicine from getting on healthy skin;
- the affected areas should be brushed 3 or 4 times a day;
- wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medicine;
- when using Acifungin forte, be careful not to get it in your eyes. If this happens, rinse them with water and contact your doctor;
- avoid contact of clothing or other objects with Acifungin forte, as it may cause permanent staining;
- do not use in children.
Properties:
When applied to the nail folds and nails, the medicinal product has antifungal and weak antibacterial effects. Salicylic acid penetrates the bloodstream through intact skin.
Boric acid penetrates the bloodstream through damaged, injured, or inflamed skin.
Repeated topical use may result in boric acid accumulation in the body, leading to severe poisoning. Boric acid is excreted primarily through the kidneys.
Additionally, it has astringent and keratolytic (exfoliating) effects.
Warnings:
Protect eyes and damaged skin from contact with the medicinal product. If symptoms such as redness, irritation, itching, or burning occur,
discontinue use of the medicinal product. Wash the irritated areas with soap and water and then apply a neutral ointment, e.g., petroleum jelly.
